Although mainly centred on Perthshire and surrounding areas, this blog also intends to promote Orangeism as a whole and has been created with three objectives in mind:

 

EDUCATION

 

It's our belief that Orangeism has a positive, interesting and rich story to tell.  Loyal Orders have existed in this land for hundreds of years and we aim to educate our readers about our culture through a series of informative and historical articles.

 

PROMOTION

 

The media often portray the Loyal Orders in a negative light.  Sensationalist news reports frequently ignore the charitable generosity, good works and meaning behind our vibrant living traditions, choosing to focus on isolated incidents, mostly caused by external factors.  We aim to change this by promoting an accurate, positive image.

 

OUTREACH

 

We want to generate interest in our scene and use this blog to explain the reasons behind our symbolism, music, parades and other events.  Not only do we intend to reach those who already have an interest, but also those who are outwith our community.
